Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Primary school in Yardley to join their support staff team on a long-term basis. The school is a larger than average mainstream primary school that invest in their staff. They understand the importance of staff wellbeing and provide appropriate practical support where necessary.
Our client wants to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work in Year 3 who is nurturing and has a good knowledge of the curriculum. Responsibilities in this role will include providing support to the teacher, preparing the classroom ahead of lessons and showing a high standard of modelling. Experience of using Little Wandle is desirable.
This Teaching Assistant role is to start in September 2025 and will continue for the full academic year. The position is full-time.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification
- Experience working in KS2
- Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
- Provide an engaging learning environment
- Work closely with the class teacher
- Conduct interventions and small group work when needed
- Commitment to the role
- Experience of using Little Wandle is desirable
Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive:
- £88.92 day rate to £95 day rate which equates to £17,340 per annum to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Small Heath which is easily commutable from Bordesley Green, Alum Rock, Ward End, Stechford, Moseley and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
