Teaching Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. If you’re passionate about education and looking for a role that offers flexibility, this Teaching Assistant position could be perfect for you. This Teaching Assistant role is Full time, it is due to start as soon as possible till the end of the academic year.

This Teaching Assistant role will include:

• Provide classroom support to pupils across Key stage 3 and key stage 4
• Assist with the delivery of the National Curriculum.
• Hold reading and writing interventions in the schools Hub
• Support children with their learning, ensuring they are engaged and achieving their potential.
• Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety of all pupils.
• Assist with individual or small group interventions as needed.
• Work alongside the SENCO assisting in the organisation of EHCP’S

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous experience working as a TA in a UK Secondary school is essential.
• Phonics Knowledge
• Numeracy and Literacy
• 1:1 and Small Group experience
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Knowledge of Preparation for Adulthood framework
• A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
