KS2 Teaching Assistant - Catholic Primary School (Local to Great Barr, B42)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming Catholic primary school in Great Barr (B42). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in behaviour management and previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 child-related qualification.
- Proven UK experience in managing behaviour effectively within a KS2 setting.
- Previous UK experience working with SEND children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- A commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos of the school while supporting pupils of all backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the class teacher and assist in the delivery of the KS2 curriculum.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils requiring additional support, including those with SEND.
- Implement behaviour management strategies effectively to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, encouraging their development and engagement in the classroom.
- Support the Catholic values and ethos of the school in all interactions and activities.
