Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support in a Good ‘rated' Primary School in Kings Norton. This role would be to support in Year 2 class, as a whole class Teaching Assistant and supporting children who have SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging Behaviour.

This role is a longterm, fulltime role starting from January and continuing for the full academic year. This school is community focused and committed to inspiring students to be empowered learners. As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons as a class-based TA.
• Providing tailored support to children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
• Leading small group interventions and 1-1 sessions to enhance learning outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Helping to assess, monitor, and celebrate student progress.
• Committing to a full-time, long-term role for the academic year.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a UK Primary School setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND needs.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent).
• The ability to work flexibly across Key Stage 1.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping children succeed.
