Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with high behavioural needs in a mainstream primary school in Great Barr, Sandwell. This child is transitioning from a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and requires consistent support to reintegrate successfully.

The Role:
* Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with high behavioural needs, ensuring a smooth transition back into a mainstream setting.
* Managing challenging behaviours, particularly in peer interactions (the pupil is not aggressive towards adults).
* Supporting the child's low-level learning needs, offering frequent prompts to help them stay on task.
* Implementing behaviour strategies and working closely with school staff to create a positive learning environment.
* Encouraging social development and fostering positive relationships with peers.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviours.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
* Ability to build trusting relationships and provide emotional and academic support.
* A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
* Relevant TA qualification (or significant experience in a similar role).
