HR ManagerBirmingham | Temporary (6 -month contract) We are recruiting for a HR Manager to support a company who deal with the arts sector based in Birmingham city centre.                                       Key Details
  • Contract: Temporary (6 months ongoing)
  • Start date - Immediate
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Location: Birmingham City Centre (in the office)
  • Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
Role OverviewThe role will involve keeping HR procedures and documents are up to date and making sure that compliance with the company and data laws have been upheld.You will be responsible for preparing an induction programme and conducting Exit InterviewsUpdating the HR department’s policies and procedures which will include updating the existing handbook, making sure all contracts are up to date.                                       Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the talent management process, including recruitment, selection, onboarding and determining hiring processes for new hires
  • Ensuring that a company’s procedures comply with employment regulations
  • Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
  • Managing company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
  • Assessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
  • Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances (we have an external HR firm to help)
  • Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perk and benefits in conjunction with MD and finance team
  • Managing employee relations and conducting conflict management and resolution
  • Managing employee records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR databases in compliance of the Data Protection Act
  • Staying up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR related issues                                                                                                                  Requirements
