We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity at our partnered FE College based in Birmingham for a motivated individual to join our HR Operations Team. This role is ideal for someone with previous HR experience who is committed to providing professional, high-quality, and timely customer service to various departments and faculties within the college.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise the workload and performance of the HR Administration Team.
- Support the HR Administration Team to ensure that day-to-day HR tasks are carried out in an organised and timely manner, monitoring work to meet deadlines.
- Check recruitment information provided by managers at the job requisition stage for completeness and accuracy, and collate this information for review by the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT).
- Assist with the administration of pre-employment checking, recording, and monitoring in accordance with the College’s recruitment and selection procedures and statutory obligations.
- Facilitate and collate all necessary DBS information for enhanced DBS checks and ensure ongoing review of data.
- Maintain the Single Central Register to ensure it is kept up to date and accurate at all times.
- Maintain and update the HR system (ITRENT), trackers, and the creation and maintenance of HR records, including setting up new starter’s files ensuring auditable documents are in place, and maintaining security and confidentiality of the data in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Support HR project work as may be required from time to time.
- Assist with and participate in HR team meetings and attend operational/designated area meetings as appropriate.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with the business and deliver an exceptional service.
- Proven HR experience, particularly in a supervisory/management role.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in managing HR systems, preferably ITRENT.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes, DBS checking, and maintaining HR records.
- Ability to provide general HR guidance on employment-related issues such as recruitment and onboarding, employment terms and conditions, attendance management, and payroll.
