Are you a CIPD qualified and experienced true HR Generalist looking to join a well established and growing blue collar manufacturing business?

Our client manufacture some of the highest quality products in their market and due to a business acquisition and growth they are looking to hire a new HR Advisor to support the site HR Manager with the day to day running of a busy site of over 500 employees.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the site HR Manager with any employee relations issues including organising and conducting investigation meetings, absence review meetings and any other relevant HR issues.
  • Lead on employee relations cases related to absence and performance management
  • Lead and deliver the recruitment process for the site ensuring all recruitment needs are fulfilled in a timely manner working with line managers and recruitment agencies with support of a HR/Recruitment administrator
  • Lead the new starter induction for new hires
  • All aspects of general HR administration
  • Organising the necessary training courses for the site
  • Ensure all HR metrics are collated and reported
  • Involvement in any key projects related to the People Strategy

This is a full time permanent position working on-site at the plant in North West Birmingham 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with some flexibility on start and finish times.

For this position we are looking for CIPD qualified level 5 or equivalent HR professionals who have experience in manufacturing or similar high volume blue collar environments.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of UK employment Law and be competent in leading on employee relations cases, running recruitment campaigns, coaching and upskilling managers and overall strong business acumen with an understanding of the impact HR can make in attaining wider business goals.

As a person you will be resilient, have an ability to handle a busy and diverse workload with excellent people skills and understanding the challenges working in a busy blue collar manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to operate as a true HR generalist at a busy and growing site who have huge growth plans to double the revenue of the site in the next 2-3 years.
