A national Waste Management business that has won a catalogue of awards over the last decade is looking to grow their commercial team with an appointment of a senior level Business Development Manager. Base salary (phone number removed)k plus car package plus an uncapped bonus scheme. This is a new role for the business, as they are looking to grow. You can be based anywhere in the UK.

This business have been in operation for over 30 years and have a national presence from a central office. They provide key services in Waste Management such as: general waste, confidential waste, skip hire, glass recycling, baled commodities, washroom services and more. Their markets are varied - Facilities Management, hospitality, healthcare, education, manufacturing, engineering, property and transport. Repeat winners of accolades such as: Business of the Year, Green Apple Awards, National Recycling Awards, our client has built up an enviable reputation in the industry.

They have technology enabled USP's that help their clients save time and money, and are looking to capitlise on their position by further growing their market share with this key hire. Your remit will be :

Identifying, qualifying (including customer financial due diligence), pursuing, and capturing new business pipelines (using the Sales & Marketing Strategy). Achieving sales growth in line with the company, departmental and individual targets. Regular face to face meetings, calls, and email communication. Self-generating credible leads for prospecting. Contributing content and ideas for marketing and sales campaigns. Supporting the Sales Director and collaborating with Operations and Supply Chain to develop operational and supply chain processes to improve performance and maximise growth. Attending and representing trade shows, networking events etc. for net new business acquisitions as required.

You will need to be: results driven, a confident communicator, a good influencer, have entrepreneurial spirit and drive, and be happy being accountable for Sales results. You will ideally have FM Sales experience in Waste, but for the right candidate specific market knowledge gaps can be overlooked.

As the business looks to grow there will be oportunities to further develop your career as you will be joining an established Sales team of circa 10 individuals but crucially this is a brand new role for the business and the first of its kind so you can make a name for yourself at this level. You can be based anywhere in the UK as you will be winning business off larger organsations.Apply asap!!
