We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an IT Consultant to join our team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT Associate Director in the strategic and tactical development of core IT processes across various domains, including IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and Solutions Architecture.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Identify and implement improvements to IT Service Desk, IT Operations, IT infrastructure, Software Development, and Solutions Architecture, ensuring alignment with the corporate plan.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to maximise business benefits from IT investments and technology consolidation.
  • Support the Enterprise Operations Manager in managing the IT department, ensuring effective service delivery and capacity planning.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors, focusing on technical debt and optimising technology investments.
  • Implement supplier reviews to manage vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance and value-added services.
  • Review, develop, and implement IT policies, architectural and design standards/principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Lead IT Manager or Head of IT.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Experience in analysing IT function effectiveness and aligning it with business operations.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Ability to manage IT service desk and networking functions efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
