My client are looking to bring on board an IT First Line Support Specialist based out of their site in Birmingham, to help in delivering top-tier IT services to their clients.

My client are one of the UK's largest handlers of fresh produce, and are looking to recruit a IT First Line Support Specialist based in Birmingham.

The key responsibilities of the IT First Line Support Specialist based in Birmingham will include but not be limited to the following.

  • Provide first-line technical support to both internal staff and external clients.
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Log and manage support tickets via our helpdesk system.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, and IT equipment.
  • Perform regular system checks and maintenance.
  • Offer user guidance and training on IT best practices.
  • Escalate more complex issues to second-line support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and user accounts.

The successful individual with have the following experience, skills and characteristics.

  • Proven experience in a first-line IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a dedication to providing high-quality support.
  • Relevant IT certifications are advantageous.
  • Ability to work within a fast paces enviroment.
