We are seeking a Senior Service Desk Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure, virtualisation, and networking to join our dynamic IT team in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-based infrastructure, including virtualisation and networking.* Offer expert assistance to users and clients on Microsoft 365 and general Azure services.* Manage and maintain Azure networking, virtual machines, storage solutions, and cloud-based infrastructure.* Ensure effective incident and problem resolution, acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.* Work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimise Azure performance and security.* Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and automation.* Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Strong experience supporting and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.* In-depth knowledge of Azure virtualisation (VMs, containers, etc.) and networking.* Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud security.* Expertise in troubleshooting Microsoft 365 environments.* A solid understanding of IT service desk operations, incident management, and customer support.* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT support.* Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-700, or similar) are highly desirable.
