Service Desk Engineer - 28 - 30K - On-site
My client, based in Birmingham is searching for a Service Desk Engineer to join their technical team.
As part of the role, you will be providing both 1st and 2nd line support across the internal and external user base, and working with a variety of hardware, software, and network issues including Office 365, Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Network Connectivity, Intune, VMware, Laptops and PCs.
Responsibilities include:
- Logging incidents into the service desk system
- Providing 1st and 2nd line support
- Escalating any technical issues to 3rd line
- Troubleshooting of various hardware, software, and network issues
- Update documentation and support with administration when necessary
- Provide a high-quality customer service standard
- Occasional work on implementation projects
Skills required:
- Windows Server and Windows OS
- Office 365
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge - specifically Azure
- Active Directory administration
- Management of hardware
- Routers and Switches
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- VMware
- Intune
