We are in search of a highly skilled individual to join our Liverpool team as a Network Engineer. This role offers a unique chance to engage with cutting-edge projects and play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Designing and Implementing Networks: Devise, configure, and implement network solutions aligned with organizational needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and uphold network infrastructure.

Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve network issues efficiently, delivering timely and effective support. Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement preventative measures.

Security Oversight: Implement and uphold security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. Monitor and respond to security incidents and potential vulnerabilities.

Performance Enhancement: Proactively monitor network performance, pinpoint bottlenecks, and optimize the network for maximum efficiency. Recommend and implement improvements.

Documentation Maintenance: Keep precise and current documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and departments, understanding their network requirements and delivering tailored solutions.

Requirements:

Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles, demonstrating expertise with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.

Certifications: Hold industry certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA, which would be highly advantageous.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).

Experience in configuring firewalls and implementing security protocols.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools.

Proficiency in troubleshooting network hardware and software.
