Head of IT Operations - Hybrid (Birmingham) - £70k

Are you an experienced IT Operations professional, looking for a new challenge in your career? Do you have demonstrable experience of a leadership role where you have managed large scale budgets? Have you previously been responsible for managing day to day operations, ensuring your team deliver high quality services and support? Interested in taking on the challenge of a brand new role for an organisation and having the scope to shape it as you see fit? If so, I have a fantastic opportunity for you!
I'm looking to speak with individuals who have a strong technical knowledge of Azure environments and have working experience of Active Directory. You will be able to demonstrate that you can manage supplier relationships and that you have a customer service mindset when dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience of implementing SLA's and ensuring they are adhered to and met, will be a huge advantage in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement, optimising operations, service quality and efficiency
Lead the IT Operations team, ensuring SLA's are met and service is of the highest quality
In conjunction with IT Leadership Team, implement a vision and strategy for your team
Manage the team's budget, recognising chances to reduce capex and opex spend
Oversee the teams working underneath your direct reports
Work with business stakeholders to understand and meet the business objectives
Act as an escalation point for any issues that can't be resolved by your team
The Ideal Candidate
Excellent relationships builder with internal and external stakeholders
Strong customer service skills
Ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying technical capabilities
Strategic thinker and problem solver
Knowledge of ISO27001
ITIL or Project Management Certified
Desired experience with:
Azure
Active Directory
IT Operations Leadership
Budget Management - Reducing capex and opex spend
Supplier Relationships
Computer Systems, Software, Hardware and Networks
