IT Service Lifecycle Manager

Location: Birmingham (up to 40% remote)
Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 + Excellent Benefits
Working Pattern: Full-time, 35 hours/week (flexible & hybrid working available)

A global legal organisation with a strong UK presence is seeking an experienced IT Service Lifecycle Manager to join its collaborative and forward-thinking IT function. This role is central to ensuring IT services are designed, transitioned, and operated effectively, with a strong focus on service governance and continual improvement.

You'll work within a highly structured, ITIL-aligned environment, managing relationships with stakeholders and third-party partners across the full service lifecycle. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of IT services, ensuring scalability, sustainability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage the Change and Release Management processes, including facilitation of Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Oversee the service portfolio to ensure accuracy, strategic alignment, and business value.
  • Coordinate and support service transitions, working across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service quality, compliance, and performance.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant experience (7+ years) in IT Service Management roles, including 3+ years in leadership or managerial positions.
  • Strong background in ITIL v4 practices - particularly Service Design, Transition, Change, and Release Management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
  • Proven ability to manage services and teams in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Confident stakeholder manager, capable of influencing at both operational and senior levels.
