Our client, a leading firm in the rail industry, is seeking a Temp Works Project Manager to join their team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the HS2 project at Curzon Street Station, focusing on managing temporary works teams to ensure successful project delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee station temporary works planning, procurement, and implementation.
  • Coordinate with Senior Project Managers to plan and support station package delivery.
  • Engage with temporary works coordinators and engineering teams for design input.
  • Manage cost forecasting and change management for temporary works.
  • Support coordination between construction, design, procurement, and commercial departments.
  • Develop stage two programmes and target pricing strategies.
  • Provide progress reports to the Construction Lead and attend delivery meetings.
  • Create a high-performing team by setting SMART targets and adhering to performance management processes.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in planning and delivering construction on major projects, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication, management, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and relevant legislation.

  • Experience in project or programme management within civil engineering/construction.
  • Proven track record of project delivery in terms of safety, timeliness, quality, and cost.
  • Leadership experience with skills in building and motivating teams.
  • Proficiency in presentation and negotiation, with strong organisational skills.
  • Relevant certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at work.
