Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 1 Day p/w onsite)

Are you an IT security professional, looking for a new challenge in your career? Do you have demonstrable experience of working in alignment with ISO:27001 requirements? Have you got experience of protecting systems and networks from cyber attacks? Do you have an excellent knowledge and understanding of methodologies and frameworks? I'm looking to speak with individuals who can implement the relevant measures and controls to maintain a safe and secure environment. You will ensure technical processes are in place, working in collaboration with the risk and compliance team. The role will give you the opportunity to support in the delivery of the technical security road map.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain security processes and procedures in line with compliance requirements

Enhance technical security policies and review processes and documentation

Evaluate new technologies, providing advice and guidance to other internal teams

Assist in the delivery of the technical security roadmap

Implement technical controls, with a focus on DLP, SIEM and IPS/IDS

Manage security tools ensuring they meet business and regulatory requirements

Work with stakeholders to produce evidence of technical security compliance

Respond to security incidents efficiently and effectively

Complete audit and assurance work on key technical systems

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a similar role

Strong understanding of security principles, methodologies and frameworks

Holds a recognised security qualification

Strong knowledge of security products and capabilities

Excellent communication skills

Desired experience with:

ISO27001

Cyber Essentials

Data Loss Prevention

Security Incident and Event Management

Intrusion Prevention Systems

Intrusion Detection Systems

Audit and Assurance
