Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Pallet Network Division Manager to lead our clients team of planners, drivers, and warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven track record in team management and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of 3-4 planners/operatives, drivers, and warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day management of the department, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Staff Management: Handle staff sickness and holiday cover, including coordination among drivers and office staff.
  • Vehicle Utilization: Maximize vehicle utilization through strategic planning and scheduling.
  • KPI Management: Complete in-house KPIs and manage Pallet Network KPIs daily to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of service for customers while maximizing profitability for the department.
  • Absence Management: Monitor and manage staff absences and holidays effectively.
  • Disciplinary Issues: Address any departmental disciplinary matters in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills:
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proven experience in managing small teams and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in cost management and profitability enhancement.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with KPIs and performance metrics relevant to pallet networks.
