Concentric Birmingham Ltd is a key part of Concentric AB, specializing in the design and manufacture of engine pumps. Located in Birmingham, UK, this facility serves as the company's manufacturing, testing, and technical centre for its engines business. We produce a range of high-end, complex products, including oil pumps, water pumps, and fuel transfer pumps, primarily for medium and heavy-duty diesel engines

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and respond to support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks.
  • Support the IT team with various projects and initiatives.
  • Document technical procedures and solutions.

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in IT and technology.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
