Role Overview:

We are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to join our team, focusing on the technical needs across the company. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for setting up new laptops, managing email accounts, and handling various IT tasks that ensure smooth operations across the company. This position is perfect for a tech-savvy individual eager to gain practical experience and learn on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laptop and Equipment Setup - Prepare and configure laptops for new team members, ensuring compliance with company security and software standards.
  • Email Account Creation and Management - Set up new email accounts, manage access permissions, and troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting - Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests, resolving inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Inventory and Documentation - Maintain detailed records of IT equipment, software licenses, and configurations.
  • Assist with IT Projects - Provide support for IT projects, gaining exposure to new technologies and solutions.
  • Learning and Development - Engage in structured training and work toward relevant certifications.

Essential Skills and Desired Experience:

  • Technical Literacy: Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and software installations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and quick to learn new tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy when setting up equipment and managing IT assets.
  • Independence and Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
