IT Support Engineer

Salary: £35,000

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

What you'll do:

As an IT Support Engineer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing first-line support to operational platform users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues across a variety of devices, and maintaining the overall health of the IT infrastructure.

  • Provide first-line/second line support for issues and questions from operational platform users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for various devices including PCs, laptops, printers, tablets, servers
  • Provision and build hardware for new users including laptops and mobile phones
  • Monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure
  • Track request queues to identify new requests
  • Communicate progress to business users on their issues
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies or upgrades where required

What you bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or related field
  • Knowledge of Windows Networks, VMWare, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Office 365, Microsoft Office, MySQL
  • Experience with hardware provisioning for new users including laptops and mobile phones
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Experience using Microsoft VBA would be beneficial but not necessary
