Brief Overview:
Our client is a national retailer, building an inhouse marketing team. Having just recruited their marketing manager; they’re now turning their attention to sourcing a talented designer. It’s an exciting time to join and this role will definitely give you autonomy and a lot of variety.
The role:
Reporting into the Marketing Manager this role will take control of all design, and whilst they will continue to use their agency for really big projects (tv adverts for example) they really are looking to bring the bulk of what they produce, inhouse. This business has bricks and mortar stores as well as an ecommerce site, so you will work on any number of projects from POS, brochures and posters to email design, banners and content for social media. They’re not looking to have a full rebrand any time soon, but there’s definitely some tweaks to be made.
You’ll be responsible for end to end creative, sending all work wither to print or to web and you may also liaise with external printers in conjunction with the marketing manager.
What we’re looking for:
You will need to have had at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial design environment, and you must have a portfolio which demonstrates both print and digital pieces. Any experience within retail would be an advantage, but its more essential that you have the ability to get on with the work and don’t require too much input from more senior designers - because there aren’t any!
Naturally, you’ll have really solid experience using Adobe CreativeSuite and any knowledge of filming or video would also be useful, but not essential.
What’s on Offer?
This is a role based full time in the office. Salary for the role will be dependent on experience but between £25-30,000. This will be a very busy and enjoyable role and one which can definitely help take your career to the next level.
