Sales Engineer - B2B - Birmingham / West Midlands - £35-45k + uncapped commission OTE £60-70k Year 1

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join a specialist robotics company located in the South Birmingham area. Could suit a Sales Engineer or a Junior Account Manager with B2B sales experience. Engineering experience isnt a requirement either a positive attitude and a sales focussed mindset are the two key factors!

Key aspects of the Sales Engineer role include;

  • Bring enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude to the position the Sales Engineer role will suit a self-starter who is keen on building their own reputation and someone who would relish the opportunity to progress into a full Business Development person
  • Flexible working environment some customers will be in different time zones, so youll need to be able to work around that. If youre looking for a 9-5 job, this isnt going to be the right one for you.
  • Uncapped commission based on a percentage of total revenue billed
  • Identify key decision makers, build relationships with them and identify any potential needs
  • A sales mind-set is key identify a clients needs and provide a solution that works for all parties through building partnerships and being a 1st class communicator
  • Knowledge and experience of lead generation, building pipeline and objection handing and a range of sales techniques
  • Confident in presenting over the phone and be able to deal with rejections
  • Initially the Sales Engineer will predominantly be office based, working alongside one of the Directors, building relationships with potential customers, generating leads and booking meetings. Some international travel will be involved when youre up and running, a rough guide might be 2-4 trips per year.
  • The technical side of what the range of products do can be taught, what the successful Sales Engineer needs to bring to the table is a go-getting attitude and be comfortable working in a startup style environment with limited structure (this isnt for everyone!), there might not be always someone on tap who has the answers!

The Birmingham based facility is based just South of the city and is commutable from Shirley, Solihull, Dudley, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster.
