Based in Birmingham – 3 month Contract

Day Shifts (Monday to Friday)

Second largest manufacturer in the UK holding a third of the market has a huge turnover nationally in excess of £300 million with 17 sites across the UK, following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a Mechanical Fitter to support the internal team and to ensure downtime is to a minimum whilst maintaining standards of a variety of equipment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter will involve the following.

Install, assemble, and align mechanical components for production machinery, including overhead cranes, robotics, mixers, curing machinery, and conveyors.
Carry out mechanical upgrades, modifications, and installations of new equipment.
Perform inspections and ensure all installed components meet operational and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support the commissioning and integration of new systems.
Conduct light welding and fabrication tasks as required for equipment assembly.
Mechanical Equipment will be involving conveyors, hoppers, grinders, extruders, kilns and pumps.

The Mechanical fitter must possess the following skills and experience.

Previous mechanical experience within an industrial site
Mechanical engineering qualification
Apprenticeship is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical installations, with welding skills being advantageous.

The benefits of this Maintenance Engineer contract is the following.

3-month contract

40 hours per week available
