Claims Executive

Birmingham  

Salary - Up to £45K, Hybrid working

Our client is a well-established Broker who are looking for an experienced Claims Executive to join their team in Birmingham.

The Role:

  • You will manage a small caseload of complex and contentious claims, from investigation to settlement.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and claims procedures to assess and adjudicate claims within established timelines and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, legal representatives, and industry partners to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations on claims history and data.
  • Visit clients on site during losses to investigate circumstances and build robust claims for swift, favourable resolutions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure the best settlement terms under policy conditions.
  • Advocate for the claims function and ensure optimal settlements.

The required skills:

  • You will be an experienced Claims Handler or Claims Executive within a commercial lines broker.
  • You must have experience of being client facing, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types and claims procedures.
