Our client, a leading company in the insurance sector, is looking for an experienced Senior Claims Hub Manager to lead and support their claims teams and managers. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive performance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Job Title: Senior Claims Manager

Location: Office/Hybrid - Birmingham (Office days Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

Salary: circa £35,000 +

Hours: 35 Hours per week (hours may vary in line with business needs & flexibility is required)

As a Senior Claims Manager, you will oversee and develop the Travel Claims department, ensuring performance targets and KPIs are consistently met while driving efficiency and service quality. Leading and motivating your team, you will foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture that delivers exceptional service at every touchpoint. With a strategic approach, you will enhance operational effectiveness, streamline processes, and promote collaboration to achieve business goals while maintaining excellence in claims management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Managers to achieve operational targets and performance goals.
  • Ensure claims processes align with strategic objectives, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Conduct monthly performance meetings with clear agendas and minutes, encouraging team input and collaboration.
  • Motivate and coach your team, managing performance in line with company strategy.
  • Oversee Personal Development Plans for Team Managers, ensuring training, coaching, and feedback are effectively documented.
  • Develop a high-performance culture within the Travel Claims team, ensuring the right resources are in place to meet targets.
  • Manage overtime planning, ensuring budgets are used effectively and fairly.
  • Provide support on complex claims, ensuring prompt resolution and escalation when required.
  • Work closely with Business Partners, handling escalated claims and providing clear, objective reports.

About You:

  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
  • Confident communicator with clients, customers, and suppliers.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to oversee large claims teams.
  • Previous experience as a Claims Manager in a fast-paced environment.
