SME / Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Location - Birmingham City Centre

Salary - up to 35k basic (DOE)- and Flexible Benefits - Free On Site Parking

Our client is a leading Independent Insurance Broker and they are now due to continued growth are looking for an SME/ Commercial Account Handler to add to the team

This is a unique position as our client is open to Existing Handlers who are looking for their next step in their career or you want to move up from a SME Handling position to a Commercial Handling role

Our client trades on an open market policy allowing access to all markets to provide the client base with the most competitive terms and cover available on the market.

This is an exciting roll which will include the day-to-day handling of the existing portfolio of business for Renewals, Mid Term Adjustments and New Business

The role of Account Handler - General Insurance:

  • Build strong relationships with clients
  • Providing Quotes for Commercial Business - Combined, Liability, Fleet and Package Policies
  • Dealing with premiums of £500 - 10,000
  • Liaise with insurers to find the best deal for your client
  • Present the options back to your client and close the deal

The Requirements of the Account Handler - General Insurance:

  • Previous SME Insurance Experience Desirable
  • Live within commutable distance of the office or happy to relocate
  • Experience with MS applications
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
