Merrifield Consultants are working with an international charity based in Birmingham to find a Senior Receivables Officer to lead the receivables team, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of income and maintaining robust financial controls. - Leading and managing the receivables team, ensuring smooth operations across multiple entities
- Producing timely and accurate bank reconciliations, income uploads, and rental invoicing
- Developing and optimising financial processes, including automated reporting using UNIT 4 & Excelerator
- Providing regular financial reports to senior stakeholders to support decision-making
- Assisting with statutory audits and responding to audit queries
- Liaising with fundraising teams to ensure income is correctly captured and allocated
- Delivering training for new finance staff and colleagues across departments on income
- platforms
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
- Excellent knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., UNIT 4, Excelerator)
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage with key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector (desirable but not essential)
