Senior Underwriter

Midlands - Remote Options Avaliable

The Company:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our clients Risk Managed Commercial team.

You will be responsible for underwriting and managing a range of new and existing accounts, using your expertise to drive business performance and profitability.

The Role:

We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage and grow a renewal portfolio, handling rating and adjustment enquiries and exploring new business opportunities.

You will manage technical claim cover requests, liaise with brokers and internal teams, and review referrals from Underwriters.

With a keen eye for detail, you will provide training to junior team members and interpret data to produce insightful reports. A strong understanding of coverage and adherence to delegated authority is essential. Join us to make a significant impact in a collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • CII/Dip CII qualified, with A-Level education or equivalent.
  • Strong underwriting experience, assessing risk exposure and handling complex claims.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize client renewals while seeking new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented team player who takes ownership and shares expertise.
