Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Stock Analyst on a full time permanent basis for a business based in Birmingham. This role requires someone who has a good understanding of Stock control and movements but is also able to analyse large data sets and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to challenge others to improve accuracy.
  • Work with the management team in assessing and building process and teams for substantial future growth and projects.
  • Become proficient in all areas of the business where stock movements are processed/relevant with a view to standardising roles and training.
  • Create a periodic reporting routine to cover stock errors, write offs, short, dated items with a view to reducing financial loss and increasing control. Regular feedback to Management with commentary and recommendations.
  • Implement a regular and effective PI check schedule that can be referenced and relied upon my management.
  • Monitor and improve processes in relation to stock movements.
  • Assist with the supplier returns process to ensure correct system entry and goods movements throughout.
  • Oversee the inter-branch transfers (IBT's) between locations, understanding the system controls, pricings adjustments and mitigating any timing differences between stock movements.
  • General organisation and management of the stock control function and team, to include all housekeeping activities, audited stock takes, and annual stock valuations exercises across the group.
  • Liaise with external customers and other logistics companies.
  • Create training guides/systems and to carry out group training.
  • Carry out store visits to check compliance with procedures and to provide additional support as required.
  • You must be a great communicator, be able to build internal and external relationships and be comfortable challenging current process.
  • You will have exposure to stock control experience at a multi-site level and an understanding of accounting for stock transactions using inventory management Software.
  • An understanding of supply chain and logistics would be beneficial.
  • Assist with procurement of suppliers and professional consultants.
