We are recruiting on behalf of our Solihull/Birmingham based client for a self-motivated candidate as this role will involve not only stock control duties and manual handling but also operating an inhouse computer system to configure and recalibrate various software packages.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills as using and operating a internal system is an integral part of your duties in this role. Working within the Stock department, this role requires the entry of correct data onto the in-house system and day to day physical duties which require lifting, carrying and preparing stock for dispatch. The candidate will also require good problem solving skills and be able to think and find solutions if required.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure a high level of accuracy is maintained when booking goods in and out of the warehouse stock system.
  • Champion for stock accuracy - this includes the weekly high value goods stock check and resolving and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring that the process for dispatch paperwork is followed accurately, including the signing of this paperwork before filing.
  • Arrange all transportation to facilitate timely deliveries to our customers worldwide.
  • Manage the process for returning stock to the suppliers.
  • Logging the parts onto a returns database; deciding how these returns should be dealt with.
  • Administer the process to return stock from the configuration department by the raising the relevant paperwork.

Reporting daily to the warehouse manager with updates or issues. This role requires a computer literate candidate who can demonstrate the ability to work unassisted once trained and maintain excellent concentration and accuracy levels.

Working Monday to Friday 8.30am and 4.45pm. Rate of pay is £12.21phr.*this is an immediate start in order to undertake inhouse training*
