We are working with a well-established Client in Birmingham who are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Income Manager to lead their income recovery team.
Income Manager - Birmingham
Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 per year
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract: Permanent
Employer: Housing Association
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the income collection team, ensuring processes are followed and targets are achieved.
  • Support the team to maximise rent collection, minimise arrears, and provide advice and assistance to tenants facing financial challenges.
  • Take responsibility for complex arrears cases, including preparing and attending court when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to income recovery and tenancy sustainment.
  • As Income Manager, you will also contribute to shaping policies and procedures to ensure continuous service improvement.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience working in income recovery within social housing.
  • Previous experience as an Income Manager, or demonstrable experience supporting or mentoring staff in a similar setting.
  • Confident handling legal processes related to arrears recovery.
  • Strong knowledge of arrears procedures, welfare benefits, and tenancy support services.
  • Passionate about delivering a high-quality, customer-focused income service.
