The Role:
As the Kitchen Helper/ Chef Helper you'll report to the Head Chef and will be primarily responsible for assisting the Head Chef in food preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace in order to ensure efficient catering services.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Assisting in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Upporting the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in various tasks such as meal planning, menu development, and special event preparation

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Kitchen Helper/ Chef Helper role will have relevant experience of at least 1 year in food preparation techniques.

You'll also need experience of:
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assisting the Head Chef with various tasks such as meal planning and inventory management
- Communicating effectively with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth workflow

In addition, you'll need the following:
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, following instructions from the Head Chef or kitchen supervisor
- A basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment

We would require the ideal person to provide us with the following:
- Prepared to undergo a UK criminal check (paid by us for you!)
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
