GRP Paint Sprayer

My client is an industry leading specialist paint spraying company that provides external repairs and protective coatings for cladding and roofing projects across the UK and Europe. The company is looking for experienced GRP Sprayers to join their team and contribute to high-quality external refurbishments and protective coating applications.

Job Description:

They are seeking skilled GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Sprayers with experience in applying specialist coatings to GRP surfaces, cladding, and roofing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in surface preparation, spray application techniques, and working with industrial coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare GRP surfaces for spraying, including sanding, cleaning, and priming.
• Apply protective and aesthetic coatings using airless or HVLP spray systems.
• Work with gel coats and resin-based finishes to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Conduct repairs on damaged cladding and roofing using GRP materials.
• Ensure coatings are applied to the highest industry standards for durability and protection.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including working at heights when required.
• Maintain spray equipment and ensure proper handling of materials.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a GRP Sprayer, preferably in construction, industrial, or marine settings.
• Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques and protective coatings.
• Experience with GRP repairs, gel coats, and resin-based finishes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working at heights and on external building surfaces.
• A valid blue CSCS card.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

IMPORTANT - You must hold no past crimminal convictions to travel to EU countries for this role. DBS checks will be required. 

Desirable:

• ICATS (Industrial Coatings Applicator Training Scheme) certification.
• Experience in cladding, roofing, or industrial spraying.
• Knowledge of fire-resistant, anti-corrosive, or waterproof coatings.
