My client, a well-established and forward-thinking Legal 500 law firm in Birmingham City Centre, is seeking an experienced Care Solicitor to join its dynamic team as a Supervising Care Solicitor. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role with a firm dedicated to excellence in client care and professional development. 

The Role:

As a Supervising Care Solicitor, you will:

  • Lead and manage the care team, with the exciting opportunity to select and build your own team
  • Handle a significant caseload of public children matters, ensuring exceptional legal service and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide supervision, mentorship and development opportunities to junior solicitors and support staff
  • Represent clients in public law cases, including care proceedings and related matters, while advocating for their best interests
  • Maintain and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring client care remains at the forefront of all your work
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the firm’s continued success and strong reputation in family and care law

Requirements:

You will need:

  • Extensive experience managing your own caseload of public children matters
  • Membership in the Law Society’s Children Law or Family Law Accreditation Scheme
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to supervise, inspire and develop a team
  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills
  • A commitment to delivering compassionate, client-centred legal advice and representation
