My client is a top 100 UK Law firm, and they are looking to bring in an Associate to join their healthcare advisory team in their new office in Birmingham. The team defends clinical negligence matters on behalf of both NHS Trusts and GPs. You will be joining team that consists of Lawyers recognised in the Legal 500 and is over 90 strong. The type of work you will be getting involved in includes inquests, regulatory matters, public law issues, judicial reviews, mental health issues and clinical risk management. You will be managing your own caseload as well as assisting senior solicitors and partners with their complex caseloads, you will be working on some of the most important and politically sensitive cases for the NHS. You will also be working closely with a partner maintaining relationships with senior NHS management. Salary will be DOE but to give you an idea NQ solicitors join the team on £52,000 with senior solicitors on 70k plus a generous bonus scheme, flexible and hybrid working is also offered with 2 days in the office and 3 at home. Benefits include but are not limited to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down, healthcare cover, 3x salary life insurance, dental plan, maternity/paternity pay, pension with up to 10% contribution, company car scheme and many others. The ideal candidate will be NQ – 4 years PQE with previous experience either managing your own caseload or assisting on a caseload of clinical negligence files.
