This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in clinical negligence to take on challenging, high-value claims and make a real impact within a dynamic legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims, providing expert legal services to defendant clients, including NHS Resolution.
  • Handle complex, high-value claims while delivering proactive, strategic legal advice.
  • Supervise and delegate work to junior fee earners and provide support to senior team members.
  • Offer secondment support to key clients, both remotely and on-site.
  • Stay up to date with legal developments, conduct legal research, and advise clients on the impact of new statutes and case law.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including delivering training seminars and workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Previous experience in clinical negligence, either on the defendant or claimant side, or expertise in catastrophic personal injury cases.
  • Skills: Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, case management systems) and experience with online research tools.
  • Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to break down complex legal concepts for clients. A results-driven, proactive approach with experience meeting targets and financial goals.
  • Desirable: Experience in healthcare inquest work or healthcare advisory roles.
