We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer specialising in procurement disputes to join our client's commercial disputes teamin Birmingham. Our client is a highly regarded law firm with an impressive and growing client base. They provide pragmatic and commercially-focused advice to their clients, aiming to find practical solutions that support their objectives. As a Commercial Litigation Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the largest public sector bodies and leading suppliers, contributing to the firm's reputation and success in this field.

As a Commercial Litigation Lawyer, you will work closely with our client's team of commercial disputes lawyers, providing support and advice on public procurement law to a diverse range of clients, including central and local government, national agencies, NHS bodies, education institutions, charities, and utility companies. You will have the opportunity to work on procurement disputes and contentious advisory matters for both procuring entities and suppliers.

The successful candidate will have:

  • a minimum of 6 years' PQE in commercial litigation, with specific expertise in procurement disputes.
  • trained and gained experience in a city or large national / regional firm, with a proven track record in high-level procurement disputes work.
  • a strong aptitude for business development and the ability to mentor junior lawyers.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with the team lead, managing your own caseload, building client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the practise. While the primary focus of this role is procurement disputes, applicants with broader commercial litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
