Salary: £68-80,000 DOE.

Our client, a highly rated and award-winning team of over 70 corporate lawyers, is looking for an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join their team based in Birmingham. As a member of their dedicated Corporate team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including entrepreneurs, SMEs, financial institutions, and FTSE 100 companies. The team offers expertise in mergers and acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, private equity, equity capital markets, due diligence, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, reorganisations and demergers, corporate structures, and governance.

Led by an exceptional Partner in Private Equity, the team in Birmingham provides top-level legal expertise on a national and international scale, while maintaining a local focus. With a passion for delivering significant deals, the team offers a flexible working environment and operates from fantastic offices with excellent transport links.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. You will work closely with the team across our client's offices and contribute to their collaborative and supportive culture. They actively encourage their lawyers to build their own client relationships and provide the necessary support for career progression.

  • Drive business development opportunities and foster client relationships
  • Stay updated with technical expertise and professional development

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong commercial acumen and industry understanding
  • Ability to manage your own case load with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of effective financial management and client satisfaction
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft packages
  • Self-starting with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Alignment with our client's values
