My client, a prestigious and ever-expanding national law firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate/Commercial Solicitor to join its Birmingham office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Solicitor to work in a supportive and encouraging environment, handling high-quality corporate & commercial matters while contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

The Role:

As a Corporate/Commercial Solicitor, you will:

  • Provide tailored, high-quality legal advice on a variety of corporate matters, including:
    • Mergers, sales and acquisitions
    • Joint ventures
    • Corporate restructuring
    • Management buy-outs
    • Equity financing
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Manage compliance, conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transactional documents and oversee post-completion regulatory matters
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with a client-focused approach
  • Collaborate with other departments across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Take an active role in business development, identifying opportunities to grow your caseload and contribute to the firm’s continued expansion

You:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A qualification as a Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate/commercial law
  • A client following (desirable) and the ability to develop and maintain a strong caseload
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation & technical skills with a strong understanding of commercial contracts
  • The ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively
  • Commercial awareness – coupled with a proactive and client-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently & collaboratively across departments and offices
  • A strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering results
  • IT literacy and the confidence to adapt to new processes & technologies
