My client is a growing Legal 500 firm with an excellent reputation.
It is currently looking for a Senior Associate to join its nationally recognised team based at its Birmingham office.
The Role
You will be:
- Managing a diverse caseload of Court of Protection matters, with a focus on property and financial affairs
- Acting as a professional deputy for clients where required
- Advising and assisting lay deputies, attorneys and families in the management of financial affairs and property
- Handling applications to the Court of Protection, including deputyship orders, statutory wills and complex financial matters
- Managing the sale, purchase and adaptation of properties for vulnerable clients
- Liaising with financial advisors, tax specialists, case managers and other professionals
- Conducting financial investigations where concerns regarding financial abuse arise
You:
- Will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE and have extensive experience in managing your own caseload
- Will have excellent communication skills and a client focused approach
- Will have a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to vulnerable individuals
- Will have strong knowledge of mental capacity law and the Court of Protection process
- Will be an empathetic individual with the will to assist vulnerable individuals
