Title: Employment (Principal Associate) Solicitor 8+PQE

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £80-92,000 DOE.

Our client, a Top50 top-ranked organisation, is seeking an experienced and talented Principal Associate to join their growing employment team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful team at a senior level, contribute to further growth, provide support to clients, and mentor junior team members. The team regularly works with high-profile clients across the private and public sectors. It continues to advise on many complex employment cases, and has supported numerous corporate and major projects. Their team of specialist lawyers are sector-focused, combining a deep knowledge of employment law with a clear, practical, commercial and approachable service.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment work, supporting commercial/private sector clients.
  • Assist in delivering training, seminars, and legal updates to clients and targets.
  • Support three Partners and supervise a team of around 12-14 junior lawyers.
  • Collaborate with a diverse employment team covering various sectors.
  • Be part of a cross-office Employment, Pensions, and Immigration National Service Line.

  • Odeon Cinemas,
  • Volkswagen Financial Services,
  • Topps Tiles.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years' employment law experience gained in a reputable firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding client service.
  • Sound understanding of clients' legal, commercial, and service requirements.
  • Strong business development skills to grow existing client relationships and bring in new work.
  • Excellent technical competence and legal knowledge in employment law.
  • Experience in managing Employment Tribunal litigation and delivering training to clients.
  • Proven track record in supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
