It fosters a supportive and inclusive culture, with a strong emphasis on professional growth and flexibility. It is currently seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its Employment team in Birmingham. 

The Role

This position offers you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of Employment cases on behalf of businesses, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and representing clients across Employment disciplines
  • Communicating effectively with clients, opponents and relevant third parties
  • Managing claims within various legal frameworks, such as employment tribunals and civil courts
  • Supporting insurers with claims handling and policy coverage considerations
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver timely and high-quality legal services
  • Supervising and delegating tasks to paralegals, trainees, and support staff

You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualification as a solicitor or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience managing a varied Employment caseload
  • Strong knowledge of Employment law and related practices
  • Proficiency with IT systems such as Word, Outlook, and case management tools
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience in insurance litigation and familiarity with policy-related issues
  • Knowledge of case management systems
