Description

The In-House Commercial Solicitor will be:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including IT, outsourcing, and procurement agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial services regulations in all agreements.
  • Providing pragmatic legal advice on commercial matters to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Representing the legal team on cross-functional project groups.
  • Supporting contract management, approvals, and the use of the contracts database.
  • Assisting colleagues and supervising less senior team members as required.

Profile

The In-House Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with proven experience in commercial contract law.
  • Skilled in drafting and negotiation, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and adaptable to new systems.
  • A confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Calm under pressure, with effective time management and multitasking abilities.
