Senior Property Litigation Solicitor – Birmingham

Are you a Real Estate Disputes Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded national team, working on top-tier cases for high-profile clients.

The RoleMy client, a leading UK law firm, is looking for an experienced Real Estate Disputes Solicitor to join its Birmingham office. The Property Litigation team is well-established and you'll be working closely with recognised partners, as well as a wider team of fee earners.

This is a varied and engaging role, you’ll be advising a high-profile client base, including investors, developers, charities, educational institutions, healthcare providers and public sector bodies.

The team also collaborates with the firm’s insurance and private client teams, so the work is truly diverse.

You’ll be working closely with the firm’s large non-contentious real estate team, providing strategic advice to help clients avoid disputes before they arise. But of course, also handling litigation matters when it comes to it. 

Typical Work Includes:

  • Lease renewals and rent reviews
  • Possession and forfeiture disputes
  • Adverse possession claims
  • Option and rights of way disputes
  • Protestor injunctions
  • Business rates and asset management issues
  • Agricultural tenancies and telecoms disputes
  • Professional negligence and indemnity claims

The team regularly handles litigation in the High Court, County Court and First tier and Upper Tribunals and it also uses alternative dispute resolution methods like arbitration and expert determination.

As part of the team, you’ll have your own caseload while also supporting junior colleagues and getting involved in business development, marketing and client seminars.

  • 5+ years’ PQE in real estate disputes at a well-respected firm
  • Strong technical ability with hands-on litigation experience
  • Excellent drafting and advisory skills
  • A strategic and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Strong client-facing skills and commercial awareness
  • A team player who can collaborate across departments
  • Enthusiasm for business development and growing client relationships
