One of our public sector clients is looking for an experienced Lawyer / Solicitor to join their Legal Services division based in Birmingham.
*Please note you must be qualified to practice law in England & Wales*
This role would suit someone with a couple of years PQE looking to move into a serious role with a leading public sector firm, or someone with a particular interest in public law.
Key responsibilites includes but is not limited to;
- assisting on legislative transformation projects
- drafting legislation and proposals
- publication of enforcement outcomes
- freedom of information requests
- compliance with data protection legislation
- subject access requests
- GDPR
The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following;
- Regulatory Law (or regulatory prosecutions)
- Information/ Data Protection / Privacy Law
- Public Law
- Competition Law, Litigation (on public authorities), Corporate Law, Commercial Law
- Experience working on projects and legislative change programmes
- Advising as part of an in-house team
- Experience instructing and managing external counsel
Our client is based in Birmingham and operates a hybrid working model (onsite 2 days per week). Offering a salary of £65k per year.
