Are you an experienced Real Estate Lawyer looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a well-established organisation based in Birmingham, is seeking a talented individual to join their expanding Real Estate team, working on a range of general commercial property matters including a mix of development, investment, and occupiers work.

This team is highly regarded in the field, and is led by a Partner who is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in The Legal 500 (2024 edition) and ranked as a leading Individual in Chambers & Partners (2024 edition). They bring vast experience as a transactional commercial property lawyer, handling large-scale projects and planning work.

As our client experiences a surge in client demand, they are seeking an additional lawyer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-4 years' experience gained in a reputable regional or City firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, delivering exceptional client service under minimal supervision. Flexibility to support the wider team and work across various workstreams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding client service and care consistently.
  • Demonstrate financial competence and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, and achievement of firm targets.
  • Actively contribute to business development opportunities to retain existing clients and foster business growth.
  • Stay up to date with technical expertise at all times.
  • Take accountability for personal development and continuously enhance interpersonal and soft skills.
  • Fully comply with the SRA competence standards.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant previous experience and appropriate post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry and business.
  • A proven track record in financial management, meeting client expectations, and excellent case management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft packages.
  • Self-motivation, a friendly demeanour, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Consistent demonstration and embodiment of the company's values.
