Senior PMO Manager - Birmingham

Senior PMO Manager required for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a Senior PMO Manager to come on board to be responsible for setting up and overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) within Clients Group's Enterprise Change Function. This pivotal role aims to ensure robust governance, successful project execution, and alignment with the company's transformation goals. Reporting directly to the Enterprise Transformation Director, the position will serve as a key advisor to the Business Transformation Steering Group, offering strategic guidance and driving change initiatives across the organization.

The role involves collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to ensure consistency with the Group's culture and values, while leading the delivery of complex, enterprise-wide change efforts.

Key skills and responsibilities:

  • Strong PMO Management experience
  • Establish the PMO function, ensuring effective governance and project management processes are implemented.
  • Create, develop, and implement the PMO structure, governance, and processes to ensure efficient program and project delivery across the organisation.
  • Develop and sustain project management frameworks, tools, and templates to standardize project execution.
  • Ensure the PMO aligns with the organization's change strategy and delivers measurable business results
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to foster understanding and gain support for the PMO's goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and engagement around transformation projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring the PMO's activities are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and leading a PMO function within a large, complex organization, ideally on a global scale.
  • Strong background in project and programme management, with a proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in engaging stakeholders at all levels, from front-line staff to senior executives.
  • In-depth knowledge of change management methodologies and their implementation in a large, culturally diverse organization.
  • Provide initial reporting and strategic recommendations to the Business Transformation Steering Group
