A Senior Quality Engineer is sought to enhance the quality standards within a leading industrial manufacturing business. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality control systems, ensuring the highest level of performance and reliability.

Description

  • Lead and mentor the quality engineering team, report KPI's and associated improvement plans designed to ensure compliance with business and customer quality objectives.
  • Ownership of the non conformance process - issue resolution and corrective/preventative actions (internal, supplier and customer)
  • Develop and implement quality control systems aligned with company objectives.
  • Deputise the QM as and when required
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
  • Train and guide team members on new quality processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve quality-related issues.
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Evaluate and improve existing quality control measures.
  • Participate in product development projects to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Profile

A successful Senior Quality Engineer should have:

  • A qualification in Engineering, or a related field with a strong engineering/manufacturing background.
  • Strong background in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance, ideally within an OEM
  • In depth knowledge of 8D/3C principles, ability to run and report on investigation outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, knowledge of other QMS, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, FAIR'S
  • Understanding of engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in quality control systems and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
